This page explains how to request deletion of your care4kids account and the personal data associated with it. care4kids is a family safety app that provides location sharing, Circle alerts, driving safety features, and related notifications.
How to request account deletion
- Open the email app on your device.
- Send an email to care4kids.96.support@gmail.com with the subject line "care4kids Account Deletion Request".
- Include the email address registered to your care4kids account. If possible, also include the phone number linked to your account.
- We will verify your identity and confirm your deletion request by email.
- Once verified, we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete.
Data that will be deleted
When your care4kids account is deleted, we permanently remove the following data linked to your account:
- Account profile: name, email address, phone number, password, and profile picture.
- Location data: GPS location history and real-time location records.
- Circle membership: your membership in Circles and your association with shared Places.
- Driving data: drive logs, routes, and driving safety scores.
- Activity and safety data: check-ins, guardian shadow snapshots, smart alert rules, and smart alert events tied to your account.
- Notifications: in-app inbox notifications and registered device push tokens (FCM tokens).
- Authentication data: login sessions and API access tokens.
Data that may be retained
Some information may be kept for a limited time after account deletion:
- Server backups: encrypted backups may retain deleted data for up to 30 days before being permanently removed.
- Push delivery logs: anonymized records of notifications sent may be retained without personally identifying information.
- Legal and security records: we may retain minimal information where required by law, to prevent fraud, or to resolve disputes. Any such data is kept only as long as legally required.
Delete some data without deleting your account
Yes. You can remove or stop sharing certain data without deleting your entire account:
- Location sharing: turn off location permissions in your device settings or stop sharing location in the app.
- Circle sharing: leave a Circle at any time to stop sharing your data with its members.
- Profile picture: remove or replace your avatar in the app profile settings.
- Push notifications: disable notifications in the app or device settings, or log out to remove the device token from your account.
To request deletion of specific data without closing your account, email us using the same contact address above and describe what you would like removed.
